Blog #26: Clusterf*ckery
A LOT has happened since my last post. Let's see, January 29th....
Well on the 3rd of February I went to Comic Con. Made a new friend, tested out my new Spider-Man costume, got some awesome stuff including a signed storyboard copy from Doctor Who. Unfortunately, about 5 minutes after I left I went down hard with the flu, which I must have caught the day before or something. It SUCKED. A week off from work later and I'm back to normal, albeit with a bad cough but I pretty much always have a cough in Winter anyway.
Valentine's day happened. Personally I detest the day as it reeks of consumerism and it's basically just the high street making a profit out of the apparent need for sentiment, but whatever. It's a thing. I made a drawing for it anyway, which doesn't at all reflect my personal feelings towards- Okay yeah it does. Moving on.
I saw Black Panther earlier this week and I really enjoyed it. It was a little slow paced in parts, but overall it's a fun movie. It's also got me even more hyped for Infinity War, though I'm trying not to let myself get too hyped, otherwise I set my expectations too high and the movie doesn't seem as good as I'm watching it. Examples of this include Iron Man 3, Age of Ultron and Civil War. Not saying they're bad movies per se, I'm saying I overhyped them and they weren't AS good as I first expected.
For some strange reason, I've been getting ideas for Nova Force almost non stop lately. Ideas including a new character who I haven't yet introduced, an origin for the antagonist that I may or may not go with, and a more fleshed out prologue that explains where exactly the Nova Force live in the main stories, after the events of the Prologue. It also explains how they survive, what they eat, and clears up a lot of plot holes, so I'm pretty happy with that. I've ALSO worked out a way to tie three of my stories together, which is extremely exciting. Unfortunately, all these ideas mean I've again had to slow down the production of Nova Force as I plan out my ideas. Hell, I'm still deciding which drawing style I want to go for. I'm hoping to at least finished writing by Summer. I'm going to keep at it in my spare time, when I'm not playing video games or freaking out over work/college/life in general that is. Things have been getting seriously out of hand lately.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted as new things happen.
Over and Out,
Aidan
