Blog #37: FFS

Y'know, one day I'll actually keep to my word and update this thing once a week, like the good old days. Before the dark times. Before Corona.

Speaking of, we're currently in lockdown again. Well, apparently. I've been going out to work (my working in the office is essential to the team, but apparently not so essential that when my partner got signed off for two weeks, nobody was sent in to cover for him but WHATEVER), but the traffic and footfall in town is the same as ever, despite most of the shops being shut. However it seems that if you sell food you're good, though why the hell anyone would shop at M&S's ludicrously expensive food hall during lockdown is beyond me.

So okay, what have I been up to since August? WELL, I got to keep my job which is great. No trawling through indeed, no getting my soul crushed by every email saying I haven't even got an interview, and the best part, I still get money at the end of the month. Things have been kind of a rollercoaster lately due to things I'm not going into. I've been working on a project called OC-Tober, which is pretty much a month long drawing prompt based around original characters. Guess who the main subject was.

Also Jamie's Workshop got a story arc, which I had fun making at first but it slowly turned into a chore writing and producing a full 9-page comic strip in one week. The second season is over now, and I'm probably going to have at least half of Season 3 ready to go by the time I publish the first episode. This season (skip to the next paragraph if you don't want to know) will see Jamie infiltrating a super top-secret organisation's base on an equally super top-secret rescue mission.

I'm also planning on starting commissions again soon. Hopefully it goes better than last time, if I'm back soon I'll let you know.
