Blog #38: New Year, New Me's
Okay, okay. So, new years was a long time ago now, almost two months, and it feels a lot longer. Is it me, or has 2021 felt even harder than 2020? Should have seen it coming, they always go bigger for the sequel right? ANYWAY, a lot has happened in the last new months.
First of all, Jamie's Workshop is getting split in half. Jamie's Workshop itself will revert back to its original format of Jamie showing blueprints for her new inventions, while Beyond the Workshop will explore the multiverse in a thrilling seven-story saga, with Jamie, Asyla and Aidan Sartwork (ehhh, see what I did there?) fighting for freedom to stop a mysterious corruptive force from taking over reality. Beyond the Workshop will be a full on webcomic that just may be exclusive to this very website, and you know what THAT means? It means I'm finally going to be forced to keep this site up to date because I'll (hopefully) have people coming here to check it out at long last!
Secondly, Ragtags is still going strong, even though I seem to be getting plot ideas for everything BUT the prologues I'm supposed to be working on. I may focus on Beyond the Workshop more and use that for practice for what I'm going to do with Ragtags.
Also I took a break from drawing recently and Jamie took over my Instagram page, which was fun.
And finally, I started commissions. I have four slots open at any one time, and I'm currently running a special offer, 25% off for the first person to commission me. The sad part is I started commissions two months ago and that offer is still on the table... Ouch.
I'm planning to do some spring cleaning and update the site big time before I post my comics here, so keep an eye out for some exciting changes around here! You know, if you're the kind of person who finds minor aesthetic improvements to be exciting...
Over and Out,
Aidan
